Thanks for visiting our blog. There’s lots of buzz surrounding bee conservation efforts, and rightfully so!
Bee populations are in decline—climate change, pesticides and industrial agriculture are some key culprits, and there are more. We may not be able to reverse the damage 100%, but we can support existing bee communities and the future of beehives everywhere!
Yes, bees make delicious honey—but that’s not all. They are crucial members of any local food organization. They are the world’s most important pollinator of crops, which means they play a large role in helping flowers, fruits, and veggies grow. If bees were to go extinct, it could result in devastating consequences for our natural food supply system as we know it.
At DOZEN JARS, we want to go beyond bringing you great honey.
Our honey comes from Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula with small cooperatives of beekeepers overseeing every step of the process.
So where do you come in? Your purchase has power. We donate a percentage of every order to bee preservation efforts while practicing Fair Trade in apiculture.
Honey tastes sweeter when it’s for a good cause, don’t you think?
